ACTIVE CITIZENS PARTICIPANTS TRAINING WORKSHOP
Active Citizens is a Leadership programme which seeks to bring together young people with different beliefs and perspectives to learn from and share with each other. Working with local and international partners; we train participants in the skills and knowledge needed to affect social change in their communities.
Active Citizens programme was developed by British Council UK with the aim of bringing about sustainable social change within communities by establishing a global network of leaders. The purpose is to increase the contribution of community leaders/potential leaders towards achieving sustainable development both locally and globally. We work with people who have the potential to demonstrate local social responsibility, including youth, women’s group, educators, faith leaders, high school students, teachers, skilled workers, undergraduates and leaders in the community. We offer these participants training to develop and sharpen their leadership skills and provide them the chance to gain perspective on sustainable social development.
The British Council in Partnership with Global Youth Leadership and Girl-Child Foundation has the pleasure to extend this training to you. Maximum participants per workshop session are fifty persons, duration is 5 days, and will last for about 4 hours.
